Instantly felt warm and welcomed.
Only 1h from CapeTown airport.
Surroundings absolutley stunning. Understated but quality and relaxing and understated.
Just absolute perfection.

Food phenomenal.

Facilities superb: heated pool-even in midwinter (granted was about 22 Celsius at the time!)

Gym clean: treadmill x2. Wattbike. Normal cycle bike. Sandbags 15-25kg. Selection of dumbbells and kettlebells. Squat rack. Mats, yoga blocks, benches, and water supply. Girls and showers great also.

Lawn Croquet, Pétanque, skittles and Jenga games. All on the large garden.

Bathrooms in room absolute perfection.
Rooms Clean, comfortable, (beds huuuge!).

Separate lunch cottage awesome and delicious and friendly.

Transfers from Mont Rochelle to the village (like 5 min drive) anytime.

Staff helpful and friendly. Up for a chat and will Also leave you alone.

Good to know Branson also seems to look after his employees. During the ‘low season’ staff are allowed to spend a night at the hotel as a guest.

The perfect way to finish our honeymoon.

Will be returning : 100%.
Will be recommending to friends also.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of May at the start of our honeymoon and loved it.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel special by all of the staff. Especially Peter who sat down with us and explained about the hotel and the area. He is a credit to Mont Rochelle and his enthusiasm rubs off on the rest of the staff.

We were upgraded to one of the rooms leading straight out to the gardens, over looking the mountains. The room was amazing, with a lovely huge bed, great bathroom and views to die for.

The breakfasts were among the best we've had anywhere and the food at the Miko restaurant we ate in on the first evening was outstanding.

Definitely make the most of the complimentary wine tasting at the Country Kitchen - we loved it. And even came back again for more wine tasting on another day.

We also used the pool, which was lovely with the mountains in the background. There's also a nice little gym which we use on one morning.

Huge thanks to all the staff at the hotel and the drivers for taking us in and out of Franschhoek.

This was the perfect start to our honeymoon and made us fall in love with Franschhoek and South Africa. We are already saving to return.

Magnificent!

We were HUGELY impressed with this place. We rounded off our trip to SA with a 2 night stay at Mont Rochelle and I really don’t think we could have asked for anything more.

We arrived quite late after a long day of travelling but were made to feel like old friends upon arrival. A glass of sparkling wine awaited us and Peter (more on him later!) showed us up to our room, which was absolutely stunning. Seeing as we were pretty knackered, we opted for room service and the fillet steak was one of the best we had eaten. Once morning arrived we were absolutely blown away by the views. They truly are stunning. Breakfast was varied and delicious, served up in the most beautiful of settings. We went on the local wine tram and the hotel were only too happy to drop us off and pick up, as they were even we had a dinner reservation nearby. Really impressive service.

A quick mention for the staff; to James who introduced himself to us at breakfast time and helped arrange a late check out, for which we were extremely grateful, and to Peter whose boundless enthusiasm and lust for life is truly infectious! He could not have been any more helpful if he’d tried and certainly brought a smile to our faces each day! If only everyone was like him!

Our stay at Mont Rochelle was a truly fabulous experience. From the complementary wine tasting to the food at Miko Restaurant and outstanding service. Nothing was a problem. Our days where planned out to maximise our available time but also relaxed enough to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Well done to the team at Mont Rochelle.

From the second we walked through the door the team at Mont Rochelle made us feel very special. We were blown away by their hospitality and attention to detail. We stayed just one night but it was amazing. Our room had a terrace where we spent hours taking in the beautiful view. Complimentary drinks and snacks made it even better. The wine tour was good and the breakfast was tremendous. Highly recommended!
