The St.Geran lived up to its reputation as one of the worlds leading resorts, we first visited 5yrs ago and had high expectations of the newly renovated property.....it just blew us away in every aspect
from the young man Vikram looking after us on the beach to the high quality cuisine served by top chefs in every restaurant ensuring your experience was 1st class every time
All the staff were professionals trained to a high standard
The resort its self has the advantage of being placed on the most stunning point of the island
Attention to detail of all areas is of an exceptional standard ensuring your experience is something you will take away & treasure forever .....so well done & thank you to everyone at St.Geran

We're Here Again!!

Yes, we're here again, tenth visit I think!
Not really much more that can be said that our love of this hotel and in particular the members of staff who are just so kind and friendly and make this a home from home.
This was our second visit since the refurbishment and we thought it had settled down and provided an even better holiday experience. We deliberatly chose a quiet time after the Easter holidays which meant that the staff had far more time to chat with you and the atmoshpere was far more relaxed that during high season.
The room and the restaurants were as alaways perfect, the food was wonderful in Le Terrasse and Prime, and we visited both several times, and whilst we alos visited Tapasake it is perhaps not quite to our taste, although the service there is great.
Our visits to LSG and driven by the fact we are made to feel so welcome by ALL of the staff members from Hotel Manager right through to the gardeners.
Thank you ALL (too many to mention) for another brilliant holiday, we will see you again very soon.

World Class

As a family (with an active 3 year old) we were looking for luxury in a child friendly environment which isn’t easy. Having stayed (disappointingly) @ the O&O in Dubai I was sceptical of what we’d experience here but needn’t have been concerned - it was AMAZING. The staff were friendly, kind & attentive. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to returning soon!

The special members of staff we encountered understood allergies & cross contamination. Being a Coeliac - this makes the world of difference. There were always gluten free options.

Thank you to Lutchmee, Anoo & Khemraj who were always extra helpful and just genuinely lovely people. I have to make a very extra special mention to Ravi who went out of his way to ensure we were always looked after & that there was something I could not only eat but genuinely enjoy. Hands down, if it wasn’t for his extra special help at times, we would not have had the amazing experience we did at mealtimes!

Also to Eric, Adarsh & the wonderfully smiley lifeguard San. They made our visits to the pool an absolute pleasure! Such a wonderful vibe at La Pointe.

To our butler Michelene - so switched on and always went above and beyond. Any requests always met with efficiency! She never let us down.

The kids club is one of the best I’ve seen - such patient, enthusiastic staff. Thank you to Janvi who helped our son settle in and to all the wonderful staff who work so hard keeping the children entertained. The activities are fantastic & so varied. We were grateful for the peace you gave us & the fact it’s complimentary is such a good touch. Please keep it that way!

The staff are the unsung gem of this property - they really are wonderful. Sorry I can’t mention you all - the pride you take in what you do is real life magic.

Thank you!

This should be a 5 star review, sadly let down by the staff
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Like the title says, really this should be 5 stars but sadly isn’t.

Firstly the good stuff, as a very fussy eater I can report that the food is almost always excellent. Even the buffet is basically fantastic- really good quality throughout.

The resort itself is absolutely beautiful and the designers did an excellent job of the rooms and the beach vista.

Now the main negative, the staffing and management is almost always completely off point.

By far and away the biggest problem is you just can’t get a moments peace and serenity on the beach. For some unfathomable reason the management, one would assume to give staff things to do, have left them to constantly prune the beach and the surrounding green areas so whilst sitting by the sea all you can hear is constant drilling and motors of industrial lawnmowers or even worse huge tractors going up and down the beach spewing out fumes.

Also the staff rarely around when you need them, invariably badger you when you’d rather be left in peace and almost always get your order wrong. Also they seem perennially confused about what services are on offer.

Having said all this I would definitely revisit but I feel like the management have a lot of training to do and they need to sort out the customer experience. The resort itself is amazing so with a little complaining they can easily get this right.
