How to Get There
I got amazing chance to perform for 2 weeks in 3 Lux* hotels around Mauritius.
My first stop was in Lux*Belle Mare. And I was so excited before my trip to Mauritius and once I came to Lux*Belle Mare I can understand all my feelings before and even it was more and more wonderful as I can imagine.
As it was my first time in Mauritius I was so happy to meet Ukrainian beautiful lady Irina from reception, she helped me to understand all system in Lux*Belle Male. And with any small questions I can directly asked her and get all answers.
Lux*Belle Mare magic place with white sand beach and with amazing places around the resort. I’m so happy to visit this place with green area where you can wake up with birdsong, with super friendly team and with delicious food. It was my first experience to visit Indian restaurant Amari, where I tried amazing food which I never can imagine that I will try it before)
It was great time there. ♥️
Nice quiet and relaxing place, hotel staff to our care, beautiful and long sandy beach, swimming pools, towels and deckchairs available ... many activities included in the package ... we could have a wonderful holiday .. satisfaction guarantee .. Sunset on the ocean ...
The LUX Belle Mare is a wonderful place. It's located on the quiet east coast of the island. There's not much around it and therefore a wonderful place for relaxing times.
The resort layout and the hotel rooms may not be absolutely unique - but the hotel concept is. It's has a young, urban and modern spirit. Gastronomy is on a very, very high level: Foodies will love it. The buffet was amazing everyday. And then I especially can recommend the Beach Rouge which is located directly at the beach and has an international cuisine with a twist. We left out Duck Laundry (chinese) and Vineet (indian) as kids have to be a little older to be allowed. Notable as well: The great coffee and the icecream parlour. And even the pizzas (which are served directly to beach at lunch): outstanding.
Even if there's not much to do around the hotel: it won't get boring:
The daily treasure (message in a bottle) hunt is a pleasure for the kids, the glass bottom boat (free of charge) is great as well. And there quite more to do from snorkeling to tennis, to kayaking, and so on...
Positive side note: LUX cares about the environment - so not plastic bottles. Cool!
And last but not least: the staff is extremely friendly - friendly from the heart. The LUX Belle Mare is not the typical stiff, upperclass 5 star hotel, it's a 5 star hotel with stylen and a lively warm and unique vibe.
Will we come again? Yes, for sure. It's not a cheap place (as most of Mauritius isn't) - but every penny we've spent was worth it. We loved the LUX Belle Mare
We have stayed previously and last year we stayed at a nearby hotel mainly because of golf. The service and the villas were so good we decided to return this year and use taxis for the golf. Nothing is perfect in life but the lux villas are as close as you can get, the level of service by the villa team was exceptional and nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely be returning next year, I can’t wait
This was our first trip to Mauritius and given the distance (12hr flight) we really hoped it would be a holiday we would remember.
Wow - we were not disappointed!
The resort has all the trimmings you could think of when looking at a relaxing break away from all the pressures of modern life. It is set on a private beautiful sandy beach with glorious views. Multiple venues for food - a combination of buffet style and a la carte. Gym, cafe (where they roast their own coffee), spa / saunas, games rooms etc etc the list is endless.
There are also a myriad of smaller touches in and around the resort that make you realise that the owners have really made that extra effort to maximise the experience for their guests. I can't even begin to list all of these and perhaps some of the joys are discovering them yourself, but I'd just leave it as "message in a bottle" and "phone booth" as a starter for ten.
Of all the things however, I'd say that the thing that really struck us was the food. Every single meal we had here was a genuine pleasure. It isn't unusual for the a la carte restaurants to be the talking point at most hotels but here, even the buffet was amazing (especially the fisherman's night!). It helps that one of the a la carte restaurants (Amari by Vineet) is run by a Michelin starred chef and so I guess all of the other venues are brought along in part in its slipstream.
The staff are all hard working, friendly and very accommodating - really does enhance the hotel.
There's also a beautiful air freshner (mint tea) that we got addicted to which you can get from the store.
I think I could wax lyrical about this place forever but I'd recommend going and experiencing it for yourself!
It was so good that we are likely to forgo our normal rule of trying out different venues and just re-book here next time too!
