This elegant hotel was built to resemble an Arabian village, with Moorish architecture and clusters of white buildings cascading down the hillside towards the beach. The garden is a true oasis in the desert, filled with palm trees and dotted with four swimming pools – including one that’s a whopping 1,000 metres square – a tennis centre, water features and shady cabanas for lounging the day away.
Bed and Bath
The spacious rooms and suites come with stunning sea or courtyard garden views, and many have a private terrace. With opulent Moorish touches in the form of sweeping archways and intricately carved grilles, all rooms come with a comfortable sitting area, a separate dressing area, TVs and CD-DVD players hidden in an attractive armoire and Nespresso machines. The large marble bathrooms have deep tubs, walk-in showers, twin sinks, lots of fluffy white towels and L’Occitane lotions and potions.
There are a host of dining options, starting with a buffet breakfast at Arabesque. You can lunch poolside at the Gezira Pool Bar and Waha Pool Bar, while the Citadel Lounge serves light meals throughout the day. In the evening, Arabesque serves authentic Middle Eastern cuisine overlooking the Red Sea, and you’ll find delicious Italian specialities at Il Frantoio. Then relax the in art-filled Observatory Lounge, or the al fresco Nafoura lounge with a cocktail or a even smoke fruit-flavoured tobacco through a shisha pipe, while a belly dancer wiggles her hips. For the ultimate pampering session, indulge in the Egyptian Masterpiece treatment at the large spa.
In the Area
Divers and snorkellers shouldn’t miss Tiran Island or Ras Mohamed National Park, home to thousands of fish species and vibrant coral. Waterskiing, kite surfing and windsurfing are also on offer. Back on dry land, you can go quad biking in the desert or opt for a more sedate camel trek. The adventurous can climb Mount Sinai – known as Moses Mount – by moonlight, and reach the top to watch the sun rise over the incredible landscape, before visiting historic St Catherine’s Monastery. Closer to home, shop for souvenirs at SOHO Square, with its bars, cafes and outdoor stage shows.
How to Get There
=> The Rescue
After our horrible experience in the Steigenberger Alcazar Resort, the Four Seasons Resort came to the rescue. It was the first Hotel we had a look at and after what we saw we decided to book it immediately.
=> Taste and see
We were able to check out the hotel with no hurry. A Buggy driver took us everywhere we wanted and showed us two room categories. Within this first short stay we already had 3-4 good conversations with the very nice people of the Hotel. They made us feel welcomed.
After we checked out from Steigenberger (I highly do not recommend), we headed straight to Four Seasons.
The Check-in was short and uncomplicated. Our luggage cam with us on the buggy and we were able to rest immediately after arriving in the room.
The room we booked was a Premium Superior Room with a beautiful view at the sea. The room was clean and spacey. Big bathroom, separate toilette, separate wardrobe, many tiny extras like an ironing set. We felt very comfortable. The AC regulates well, the TV is big, unfortunately no German Channels.
The whole facility looks wonderful and is well kept after. It feels almost like a tiny village with all those little houses and plants and flowers. Very very beautiful.
There is only one pool area that comes with a big main pool, a small children's pool and a warm water pool. They call it a "Jacuzzi" but the bubbles were actually ridiculous. Swimming there was very nice yet, because of Ramadan not many people were around. I assume that when more people assemble it gets a little too crowded.
=> Beach & Sports
The Beach is very small, but very nice. Nice sand, beautiful reef, not many waves unless the weather is windy. I really recommend to do some snorkeling. Thankfully the reef is only 10-15 meters long. Yet I prefer long open beaches with direct water entrance.
There is a lot of water sports activities that are available, but also quite expensive.
The Resort is pretty expensive in comparison to other places of similar quality. Actually it seems to be the nicest Resort in Sharm which would justify the price, unfortunately the price comes only with breakfast.
The dinner prices are between affordable (for an European, not for locals) and expensive, but for every bill there comes service charge and tax extra which can up your bill immensely. That's a pity.
=> Food & Restaurants
In General I would say the food is good. Unfortunately our experience was not that pleasant. There are three restaurants, yet one was not open, and there are two "Snack"-Areas. We have been to the Italian Restaurant twice, which has a very nice and romantic area outside, yet both times the food presentation was unimpressive. The second time even my wife's food was way too salty and my medium-well steak was very dry. The second restaurant is the Beef & grill. The food was good and the portions were massive. The only think I wonder about is why a starter that includes just 4 bites is 85LE and a full main course the two people could share cause it's that big costs 240 LE. Makes no sense to me.
The breakfast area is located in the Italian Restaurant. There is a small variety of foods, it was still enough for us.
Once I ordered two soft-boiled eggs with bacon and received hard-boiled eggs and my bacon was cold. I asked for just one more egg, but soft-boiled and received two almost raw eggs. After that I said I don't want any more eggs and I still was given some. The cooks apologized many times and we were given a fruit plate.
When we arrived my stomach was not healthy again and I made the mistake to eat something heavy the first night. The next whole day I spend in bed. Most of the time the staff was so helpful and were offering us tea, medicine, soups and other stuff. Sad to mention that my wife was denied to take food into the room by the Restaurant Manager, after which the server took over and arranged it in our favor.
Every single person was so helpful and nice. We felt very comfortable and these people are the reason why this place is so special. Special thanks to Atef (Customer Care), Raafat & Nabil (Beach Area), Mahmoud (Lunch Bar at the pool) and Emad (Server at Breakfast). They made the difference.
Four Seasons is extending their Resort, which is great. We have seen some plans and pictures and it is going to be great, probably will be finished 2019. Unfortunately sometimes we could hear the construction going on, but not in the rooms. The rooms give you all the rest you need.
=> Too much service
Sometimes it is just good to get some rest. Since every single worker is really trying hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible it actually happens that sometimes every 30min someone will ask you if you need anything and if they can assist you.
To me that was a little too much for I was not able to have uninterrupted quiet time at times. The motivation behind it is amazing and I am very thankful for the hard work and servant's hearts. But sometimes it's just too much.
In conclusion and in all fairness, the Resort is wonderful and we had a great time. Having said that we had a similar great experience in a different hotel that was almost half the price which brings me to the total rating of 3 points.
But the staff is 10 points for me! Thank you! It's definitely not a farewell, but more a "see you again".
As soon as we walked across the doors of this wonderful hotel, we were greeted with hospitality the likes of which I had never seen before. This hotel manages to tick every box on the hotel checklist. We had previously endured a horrible experience with another hotel. Deciding to transfer to this hotel was the greatest decision of this trip. Firstly, we had not booked a room beforehand. The staff there went through the trouble of organizing and preparing us a room on the spot. the food was absolutely mesmerizing, and what was offered could sate a variety of appetites. The rooms were clean and sanitary, and so was the pool. I would like to offer my thanks to the Room Manager, he managed to prepare us a suitable room in no time. They were efficient, and quick.
Lovely hotel and landscape, great breakfast, good for a short sun and sea break - lunch and dinner average need to train the cooks more or hire experts.
We didn’t appreciate that in our latest visit inspite of reserving front sea view rooms we were allocated 2 bedroom suites very far from the sea which we didn’t want or need.
But all in all we have been there 4 times and always enjoyed it.
My family and I visited Four Seasons – Sharm el Sheikh in April and we absolutely loved it. I cannot say enough good things about our trip so I'll just hit some of the highlights...
We arrived a couple hours before check-in just hoping to drop our bags off and hang out at the pool. Instead, reception worked hard to prepare our room and checked us in early. This set the tone for what was to be our favorite beach vacation ever.
The room was perfect! Not only was it immaculately clean but catered to our family down to the smallest detail. The child sized robes and slippers as well as the Bose sound dock speakers were fantastic.
Without exception the staff was out-going, friendly, and helpful without being intrusive. My wife and I found ourselves wondering what the Four Seasons' staff training program looks like. Clearly they are doing it right. Emad at Arabesque and Nasser with the kids for all seasons program really made our vacation special. Our kids loved practicing Arabic, going swimming, and doing a variety of artwork with Nasser and the other staff. I loved the special attention and the food customization that Emad provided.
Overall the property and the staff blew away our expectations. They really made us feel special and now we don’t want to go on vacation anywhere else. Thank you!
I will start our experience Of Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh where me and my wife arrived at the main entrance of the lobby where we were greeted
by the helpful staff who collected our luggage and escorted us to the reception for check in. They served us a refreshing fresh fruit smoothie while they check us in. 5 Stars!
A cart with our luggage was awaiting us outside to take us to our room. On the way to our room we got to enjoy the beautiful gardens and flowers around the resort and the gorgeous flowers and butterfly’s. 5 Stars!
We arrived at our room which actually was a mini home with a front metal gate, so tranquil. It had a lovely seating area outside before we entered the room. The room was very spacious and tidy with a large bathroom and closet. 5 Stars!
We headed for the beach where we were greeted by the staff who prepared our chairs and they brought us an ice cooler with complimentary water next to us. The staff also provided complimentary sun protection and lotion. We went to the jetty where we snorkelled and I have to say the coral reef was superb! We came back to our seats and they asked us if we wanted our sunglasses to be cleaned. 5 Stars!
The food is super! The grilled fish we had at the reef grill restaurant was absolutely superb! Also the sea food soup was absolute delight !
We enjoyed the nofura launge in the evenings with live entertainment ! Belly dancers were great !
Breakfast each morning is out of this world! So delicious !!
Overall this resort is really addictive ! We are hoping to be back !
