Great Pyramid views over ancient botanical gardens, plus six worldly eateries

The Lowdown

Art Deco meets Belle Epoque excess at this grande dame on the western bank of the Nile. After a day soaking up centuries of culture or cruising down the ancient river, get open-air R&R by the resort’s pool — perhaps with a local liqueur in hand. Six on-site restaurants serve everything from Lebanese delicacies to Egyptian-honeycomb-drizzled feteer. Balinese inspiration strikes during essential-oil treatments at the spa (or in-room). French Empire-style furnishings and marble bathrooms add a sense of grandeur in the guestrooms, which have mod-cons like 42-inch LCD TVs, DVD players, Bose sound systems and soaking tubs.

In the Area

Take an evening cruise down the Nile on one of the hotel’s boats, which were inspired by ancient pharaonic papyrus boats and include live music and belly dancing. You’re just a quick walk from the Egyptian Museum and the 80-acre Giza Zoo, which houses countless endangered species including the first California sea lion born in the Mid-East. Almost 4,000 years old, the 500-foot Great Pyramid of Giza turns heads as the most storied of the world’s Seven Wonders. The First Mall brings you (and your wardrobe) to the modern day with 300 International storefronts and scheduled fashion nights highlighting young Egyptian designers.

Most WONDERFUL hotel in the most amazing city!!!!!
Reviewed 3 days ago

We are back home from a three week trip to Greece and Egypt, and I must say that my most memorable and special time of the entire trip was the fast paced three days in Egypt at the Four Season at first Residence!!! People in the US may be apprehensive about visiting Egypt, but I cannot say enough that we never felt uncomfortable or scared during our entire trip and I attribute it primarily to the Four Seasons services and staff. From the very beginning of our trip when we got off the plane, we were greeted and totally taken care of by Four Season’s staff. They took care of getting our visa and luggage in about 5 minutes and quickly took us to a air conditioned V class Mercedes and within 30 minutes we were at the hotel. The hotel is amazing and the rooms and facilities were beautiful. All the staff were super attentive and so professional and engaging. Timmer our driver was outstanding!!! He made our experience top notch with the attention, water and cool towels. He was very engaging, responsive and very professional. Also, I cannot say enough about our tour guide Jasmin, she was truly spectacular. She truly made the two day tour the most memorable and fun that we could imagine. She was so knowable and informative and really provided us in depth information in a manner that we could grasp and understand. Her lovely personality made us feel like a friend was guiding us around Cairo rather than a tour guide. We just loved the two days with Jasmin her and Timmer!!!

Exceptional. Bespoke. Cairo Four Seasons is 10 out if 10 in all respects. Hotel industry should take a page from the Four Seasons playbook. If you want first class service and ambiance stay here. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent Hotel

This in an excellent hotel to stay in Cairo. Definitely a luxury collection hotel. Every evening we enjoyed local singers at the pool side while you had dinner / evening coffee.

Spa is good.

Breakfast was wonderful with a large selection. Especially enjoyed the mango / guava juice.

It is located in a safe neighborhood next to the Zoo and french embassy.

There was tight Hotel security that made me feel safe.

Hotel has a Mercedes van that can transport you through the city but you will need to make advanced booking.

There is an attached mall with other options for shopping and dinning.

Large rooms and well furnished.
