The Lowdown

When Anantara’s first hotel in Oman opened in 2016 on the edge of the rocky Saiq Plateau, it became the highest five-star hotel in the Middle East—and, instantaneously, one of the best cliffside hotels in the world. Of the 115 accommodations, the Cliff Pool Villas feature private infinity pools that jut out precariously over the mountain rim, 6,500 feet above sea level. There’s a public infinity pool for everyone else; when not taking a dip or chowing down on Omani and international cuisine at own of the resort’s six restaurants, head to the spa for decadent treatments, to the kitchen for a cooking class, or to the Hajar mountain range for a heart-pumping climb.

The Dining by Design experience on Dianna's Point was outstanding. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. The views are beautiful and waking up from the Canyon View room was brilliant. don't miss sunset!

Beauty within the mountains

We travelled to Oman with our 6 month old baby and were excited to discover the mountainous regions together. This hotel was beautiful and the service was outstanding.
They were very accommodating to our needs and the nursery within the hotel was very clean and well equipped.
Our room was regularly cleaned and all staff we came across were very friendly. The yoga in the mornings and evenings in the fresh mountain air made me feel refreshed and the instructor was very knowledgeable. We also did other activities such as archery (which we did twice due to enjoying it so much!), jebel climb and village tour which were also faultless.
We loved our stay here. Thank you Anantara 💗

This property has one of the most incredible location I have ever experienced. The view is breathtaking. Don't miss the sunset with a drink at the bridge bar. Rooms are perfect and food is excellent. I also have to give a special mention to the employees who were to dedicated to our confort and hapiness

One of a kind stay with breathtaking views

Our stay in Anantara resort Nizwa was exceptionally luxurious. Everything from the checkpoint pick up to service was fantastic. The staff are all very friendly and attentive to customers needs. It was our anniversary and they presented us with a lovely cake, card and halal champagne. Service from Omran, Rajib and Mushraf were specifically appreciated and remeberable. The views also were stunning and so peaceful. Definitely would recommend a visit.
