              The Cervo may have a swish Swiss address, but there’s nothing neutral about this new boutique hotel’s atmosphere and hospitality. The Matterhorn looms dramatically in the background, and a private pine forest spreads out from the front door of this mountainside retreat, where antler-mounted lodge meets minimalist Swiss chic.

              • You can snowboard and ski year-round in Zermatt, but the main season runs from November through April
