The Luxury Suites at the Signature can have the effect of making guests never want to leave their rooms — the smallest option is 550 square feet, and a menu of spa services can be performed right there. With no smoking and no noisy casino, this is a different type of Vegas. Add to that the guests-only, cabana-lined pools and you’ll finally feel like the cloistered celebrity you always knew you were.

The Signature at MGM Grand

Jetsetter review

In a city that likes to regularly outdo itself, the Luxury Suites at the Signature up the ante. The condo-like suites could practically be lived in as upscale urban apartments. Each suite comes with a full kitchen or large kitchenette with top-of-the-line appliances, while the marble and granite bathrooms are large enough to be lived in themselves, with Jacuzzi tubs and oversize walk-in showers.

Unlike most Vegas hotel rooms (even the luxury ones), the sleeping area and entertainment areas in these suites are partitioned, and the one-bedrooms come with two bathrooms as well. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to the Junior Vista Suite for a Strip view that’s from the 16th floor or above; these bird’s eye views show you all the Vegas goings on and are worth the investment.

One Bedroom Suites are a huge 950 square feet with two bathrooms and a full kitchen.
The comfy rooms and in-suite massage services make it tempting to never venture outside, and it’s a long trek to the Strip through the madness of the MGM casino floor. Happily, all the amenities of a full-service Vegas resort can be found just a 10- or 15-minute walk away at the MGM Grand, where plenty of clubs, bars and high-end dining options from celb-chefs Tom Colicchio, Joël Robuchon and Wolfgang Puck awaits.

Each of the towers has its own private pool area with cabanas and excellent cocktail service (yet another reason to linger on property). Despite the exclusive vibe of the Signature, the staff is far from pretentious and they go out of their way to interact with and know their guests, starting the second the smiling valet opens your car door. Unlike most hip lodgings, where the staff is coolly dead upon arrival, the truly human scale of the Signature’s service makes this hotel one of Vegas’s most approachable options.

What to do

  • Dine. The MGM Grand is home to some of Vegas’s best dining, featuring restaurants by celebrity chefs like Tom Colicchio and Joël Robuchon.
  • Beautify. MGM’s huge Grand Spa offers a long list of massage and beauty treatments, and you can get a Hollywood-quality haircut at the MGM’s Cristophe Salon.
  • Zipline. Glide through Bootleg Canyon Park with Nevada’s exhilarating zipline experience. The zipline is open year-round except for especially windy days.
  • Gyrate. Viva Elvis, one of the latest Cirque du Soleil extravaganzas, is one big tribute to Mr. Las Vegas himself, with plenty of glam to spare. It’s a must-see.
  • Tilt.Take the short taxi ride east along Tropicana Avenue to the nonprofit Pinball Hall of Fame, the world’s largest collection of machines, and try not to tilt the classic 1957 Gottlieb Ace High.

Smokefree, size of the room, bathroom

  • What I liked

The room was immaculate. Being in a nonsmoking room was a big deal to me and my companion. The kitchenette was a nice touch and the view of the strip was priceless.

    What I disliked

Room service was confusing. The hotel staff didn't service the room, the Luxury Suites organization did. When we wanted towel service on the initial day of our stay, the Luxury Suites number did not work. I had to call Jetsetter Customer Service to get someone from Luxury Suites to service our room. However, after the first day, all went well.

  • What I liked

    Cheap. Good location. Nice rooms.

    What I disliked

The suite wasn't owned by the hotel, so they were not very helpful when there were sheets missing from our pullout bed.

  • What I liked

The value of the room, customer service, housekeeping, location, and amenities exceeded the price I paid many, many times over.

  • What I liked

Spacious and clean junior suites. Staff was very friendly. Great pool and poolside bar service. Fitness center was well equipped.

    What I disliked

Be mindful of the check-in time. The front desk cannot help you. If you want an earlier check-in time you will need to call management company Jetsetter works with as they control the rooms, including housekeeping. They were able to check me in a couple of hours early, you may just want to make arrangements before you arrive.

    The size of the suite.

    What I disliked

    Distance from Strip.

  • What I liked

Rooms were large and well-maintained with plenty of modern amenities. The balcony was a particularly nice feature, and the free fitness center access was a surprising benefit since the MGM Grand charges for its fitness center.

    What I disliked

The Signature is a long walk from the MGM Grand and, for access to the Strip, it's easier just to exit the hotel and walk two blocks.

  • What I liked

We liked the privite entry into the hotel and the calm quite loby. The staff was great during out entire stay. We were always greeted and felt as if everyone knew us during our stay. We have stayed at other very nice hotels in Las Vages but this is now at the top of our list overall.

    What I disliked

Only on thing we thought could be improved. We called to have our room cleaned and it was done only so so. We are not very messy so there was not a lot but the bed was not made up very well, it looked like some sat on the bed after making it,floor in the restroom was not swept or moped and we could have used some more shampoo.

  • What I liked

The pool area is great. It is not like the big hotels where there are hundreds of people trying to find a lounge chair. It is very quiet. The signature suites is by far our favorite place to stay in Vegas.

    What I disliked

There is nothing we didin't like.

  • What I liked

    Our suite was beautiful.

    What I disliked

The kitchen sink did funky things after we ran the dishwasher.
