              About your stay

              By Elise Meyer, Jetsetter Correspondent

Le Palais de la Mediterranee, a grande dame along Nice’s Boulevard des Anglais, opened in 1929, and for decades it was home to the social elite. With its immense marble atrium and elaborate casino/theater, the elegant hotel hosted performances by Edith Piaf and Josephine Baker before it gradually fell into disrepair in the 1970s. Fast-forward 30 years and many million euros, and Le Palais has been restored to its rightful glory. Today guests in the 188 rooms and suites get all the glamour of the past with the amenities of the present: a top-notch restaurant, a hopping bar-lounge and a luxurious indoor-outdoor pool with panoramic views.
