              What is Jetsetter?

              What is Jetsetter?

              Jetsetter is a private online community dedicated to providing members with insider access to the places they want to go at prices unavailable to the general public. Our philosophy is that travel should be fun and easy - including the planning part. We aim to simplify things. Great hotels at great prices. No guesswork, no games. That's Jetsetter.

              What is Jetsetter's relationship with the Gilt Groupe?

              As a part of the Gilt Groupe, Jetsetter is Gilt's presence in the travel industry. We apply Gilt's flash sale concept to the world of luxury and adventure travel. Like our sister company, we offer exclusive, invitation-only sales to our customers.

              What is a Flash Sale?

              Each flash sale lasts 5-7 days or until sold out, and it typically features one of our Jetsetter-verified properties or experiences. Users can select from a variety of room types at different price points, though these special rates are available only during the sale. Be sure to book before it's over.

              What is the Jetsetter Verified Stamp?

              Our Jetsetter Verified Stamp means that a member of our team of editors and correspondents has visited the property, verified it and written the review you're reading. When the event is Jetsetter Verified, we stand fully by our representation of the property. We'll let you know what the experience is really like and why it's worthy of being visited by a Jetsetter.

              Troubleshooting

              Login problems

              Gilt and Jetsetter usernames both work with Jetsetter. If your login doesn't work, email support@jetsetter.com for help.

              Selecting your dates

              As you select dates, you'll see the total price increase or decrease as you make changes. Please note that only dates in orange are available - dates shaded in gray are either sold out or not available and can't be booked. If a date has a premium price, this will be indicated by a small tick mark in the corner of its box on the calendar. If a property has a minimum night stay, this will be noted in the copy on the page.

              Making special requests

              When you're making a reservation, there will be a box where you can note any particular requests. Though we pass these along to the property, there is no guarantee that your request will be met.

              How do I reset my password?

              If you have forgotten your password to Jetsetter, please go to the following link: http://www.gilt.com/bb/password_requests/new

              What does it mean when I get an error message when booking?

              If you receive an error message when booking, please contact support@jetsetter.com or 877-JSET-USA/877-573-8872 to double-check before attempting to book again. Your order may have been processed, and we do not want your credit card to be charged twice.

              Benefits of Being a Jetsetter

              How much does membership cost?

              Becoming a Jetsetter is completely free. All it takes is a love of travel, a passion for adventure and an invitation from a current Jetsetter member.

              Why do I have to be invited to join?

              By having members-only access, we are able to provide exclusive rates for each experience that can't be offered to the general public.

              Can I become a member and book if I live outside the United States?

              Absolutely. No matter where in the world you live, you can become a Jetsetter member. We happily accept international credit cards.

              How do I know if my personal information is safe in my account?

              The safety of your credit card and personal information are our highest priority. We do not share, sell or otherwise use your personal information without your permission, except when required by law or any legal process. We use the utmost care and security with any information in your account and will not use this information in ways to which you have not consented. We also never take credit card information over the phone, via e-mail or through any other direct form of contact. We require you to personally enter your credit card information when making a purchase and show only the last 4 digits of the card stored on your account. We can never charge your card without your explicit permission to do so.

              How do I update my account information?

              Your account can be accessed by clicking on the Account link at the top right corner of the Jetsetter homepage. You can manage all your current Standby and Hold orders, as well as purchase gift cards, view your account credits and access your personal invitation link. Also, this page allows you to manage all the information regarding your e-mail preferences, user name and billing and credit card.

              How do I unsubscribe from emails?

              You can always change your email preferences. Just click here.

              How do I end my membership with Jetsetter/Gilt?

              If you no longer want to be a member of Jetsetter and Gilt, please email a request to cancel your membership to support@jetsetter.com.

              Booking a Jetsetter Experience

              What information can I expect to find in a sale?

              Each of our events includes a Jetsetter review from one of our travel experts, as well as 4 sections titled What We Love, What to Know, Why to Go, and What to Do.

              We break down our favorite aspects of each hotel and experience, including our preferred activities in the area. Please make sure to always check the Details tab to find all room-specific and policy information, including maximum occupancy and what's included in each room type and rate featured. The Details section is the most important section to review before booking.

              What do dates colored in white mean?

              When a date is displayed in white, it means that the date is unavailable and cannot be purchased on our site. Please select the dates in orange or gray (standby dates) to book your reservation.

              Are new dates ever added during a live event?

              Once a sale has gone live, all dates and rates are final unless otherwise noted on the sale.

              What is a Hold and how do I use it?

              You can use the Hold feature to reserve inventory for the days you want by paying 10% of the trip price. This will give you an additional 72 hours, even after the sale ends, to decide whether or not to book. If you make a purchase, the 10% is automatically applied to your travel. If you decide not to purchase, the 10% is refunded in the form of a Jetsetter credit that will never expire.

              What does it mean to "go on Standby"?

              If one or more of the dates you've selected are sold out, they may become available again before the sale ends.

              If you choose to go on Standby, we'll automatically book you at the same rate for the dates you've selected, should those dates become available. Your credit card will be charged at the time of booking and you will be notified via email with a Jetsetter Reservation confirmation. If the dates do not become available, your credit card will not be charged.

              How do I book multiple rooms?

              If you would like to book multiple rooms of the same type, you can use our drop-down menu under the Calendar when looking at dates. You are able to select up to 4 rooms in a single booking. If you would like to book multiple rooms of different types, you must make a separate reservation for each room type.

              If the hotel is no longer on your site, can I still book through Jetsetter?

              Once a flash sale is over, we immediately return all the available rooms to the hotel. However, we tend to feature many of our hotels more than once, so be sure to stay tuned to our emails. You can also look for the hotel as part of our Jetsetter Collection, where we sell nights with our hotel partners at competitive rates (though not as discounted as during a 5- to 7-day flash sale).

              Can I book the same rates directly with the hotel if I mention Jetsetter?

              The only place you can get the Jetsetter rate is on Jetsetter. While mentioning our name may sound cool, it won't score you the deals you see here. Our partners offer these rates exclusively on Jetsetter, so be sure to book with us during our sales.

              How can I view a breakdown of nightly rates before booking?

              The checkout page gives you the opportunity to double-check everything before booking. It contains a summary of all of the details about your purchase. To view your daily rates, please click on the View Breakdown link on the right side of the page.

              How does payment work?

              All reservations are prepaid in full and are nonrefundable. We accept most major credit cards, including many international cards. If you have any questions about payment, please email support@jetsetter.com or call us at 877-JSET-USA/877-573-8872.

              What taxes and fees are included in each purchase?

              We do our best to include all the mandatory taxes and fees charged by each property in the final price for each Jetsetter event. However, if there are any fees that are not included, we will be sure to note these in the Details tab and/or the What to Know sections of the event's page.

              Where do I make a special and/or bedding request?

              Just after you confirm your purchase, a pop-up box will appear with separate boxes to make any bedding requests or other special requests you have. Please note that these requests cannot be guaranteed and are based upon availability upon check-in.

              How can I change the traveler names on my reservation?

              Just after you confirm your purchase, a pop-up box will appear with an area for traveler names. Please add the names and select which names will be associated with each room of your reservation. This information will be sent directly to the hotel. If you are changing this after you book, please send an email to support@jetsetter.com to modify the names on your reservation, and we will contact the hotel with your request.

              When do I receive my confirmation for booking?

              You will receive a confirmation email immediately after submitting your order that will include your Jetsetter Order and Reservation numbers. Within a week of your purchase, we will send you another email with the hotel supplier confirmation number, should you need to contact the hotel directly.

              Can I cancel or modify a reservation after I book?

              In order for us to provide such exclusive rates, we have a strict no-cancellation/modification policy. All rooms are prepaid in advance and nonrefundable.

              However, we will always do our best to accommodate your requests in times of emergency or other extenuating circumstances. Please be sure to contact support@jetsetter.com if you have any questions regarding our policy.

              Invitations, Credits and Gift Cards

              How do I invite a friend to become a member?

              Inviting friends is as easy as the click of a button. If you have friends and family you would like to invite, click on the Invite Friends link at the top right corner of page and enter their email addresses. You can personalize the message and let them know why it's great being a Jetsetter member.

              How and when do I receive credit for inviting a friend?

              We will credit your account when your friend makes their first purchase. There's no limit to how many friends can join through you, so invite away!

              Can I gift a Jetsetter experience or book on behalf of a friend?

              Absolutely. You can either book it under your account and change the traveler's name right after you make your purchase on Jetsetter, or you can purchase a gift card for someone else by clicking here.

              Can I use Gilt credits on Jetsetter and vice versa?

              Unfortunately, Gilt and Jetsetter credits can be used only on their respective sites, as they are nontransferable and site-specific. Also, you can receive Jetsetter referral credit only when using the personal invitation link located in your Jetsetter account.

              Is there a limit to the amount of credit I can have?

              Absolutely not. In fact, we suggest inviting every person you know so you can get millions in credit. Well, you'd have to know millions of people first, but it's worth a try.

              Do invitation credits expire?

              Credits earned by inviting a friend will expire after one year.

              Can I choose the amount of credit I want to use toward each purchase?

              Unfortunately, no. The system automatically takes the maximum amount of credit available toward each purchase.

              Can I use Jetsetter credit toward purchasing a gift card?

              At this time, our system does not allow you to use credits toward the purchase of a gift card.

              Preparing for your Jetsetter Experience

              Do I need to bring anything with me in order to check in?

              We suggest bringing a copy of your hotel supplier confirmation number, as this number links your Jetsetter reservation with the reservation the hotel has processed in its system. This will help eliminate any potential check-in issues.

              Do I need to have the same credit card with me at check-in that I used to make my Jetsetter reservation?

              No. The hotel will require a valid photo ID and any valid credit card in order to check in, not necessarily the one used for purchase on Jetsetter.

              What should I do if the hotel has problems locating my reservation?

              If the hotel is unable to locate your reservation and supplier confirmation number for any reason, please call support at 1-877-226-0070 and we will resolve any miscommunication.

              Do you provide any sort of extra pre-arrival information for the tours and packages?

              For most of our hotels, you will need only our supplier confirmation number to check in. However, we do feature some more complex packages and tours that may require more information before travel. In these cases, we will send you an email with all the necessary pre-arrival information to make your travel as smooth as possible.
