    Founder and CEO

    A true travel connoisseur, CEO and Founder Drew Patterson brings more than a decade of experience to Jetsetter, the leading private sale site that helps travelers discover and purchase the world’s best vacations. With the introduction of Jetsetter, Patterson once again transforms the travel booking and planning industry, this time offering luxury destinations and unique insights that make for memorable vacations. Jetsetter serves as a trusted friend for savvy travelers, delivering quality choices and candid recommendations on memorable leisure travel experiences.

    Patterson’s expertise in the online travel arena ranges across various channels, having worked as both a supplier and an intermediary.

    An industry pioneer, Patterson was part of the founding team at KAYAK where, during his five- year tenure as vice president of marketing, he played an integral role in reshaping the online travel landscape by evolving the distribution model and initializing the concept of “search.” Prior to that, Patterson cut his teeth as director of distribution and revenue management at Starwood Hotels, where he forged new distribution channels with online travel agents, including Expedia and Travelocity, to increase sales and strengthened the company’s hotel brands.

    Patterson received his Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University before earning his Masters in Business from Columbia Business School. He resides in New York City.

  • Colin Kroll

    Chief Technology Officer

    Colin brings over 8 years of software engineering and technology management to the Jetsetter team. Prior to launching the Jetsetter website, Colin built software for various start-ups in New York including Right Media, Bounty Jobs, and Yahoo.

    As a technical lead at Right Media, Colin focused on improving the scale and performance of Right Media's systems. After Right Media's acquisition by Yahoo, Colin managed the team responsible for developing web services for their next generation, global advertising platform. He has a pending patent for his work on the platform.

  • Kate Maxwell

    Editor-in-Chief

    Kate brings almost a decade of travel editing, writing, and trendspotting to Jetsetter. As Editor- in-Chief, Kate leads the editorial strategy and manages a 15-person team of in-house editors, as well as more than 200 Jetsetter correspondents worldwide. She develops the visual language and the voice of Jetsetter, and she will serve as an ambassador of the Jetsetter lifestyle.

    Prior to Jetsetter, Kate was articles editor of Conde Nast Traveler and a regular contributor to NBC’s TODAY Show, as well as other broadcast outlets. Kate has held full time positions at Conde Nast Traveller UK and the Daily Mail of London, and freelanced for many publications in the UK, including the Financial Times, The Observer, and The Times. She continues to write for US Condé Nast Traveler as a contributing editor.

    Kate is a graduate of Oxford University and received her postgraduate diploma in magazine journalism from City University in London. She’s British, fluent in French, and an enthusiastic surfer, scuba diver, and skier.

  • Shaun Stewart

    VP, Sales & Operations

    Shaun is the VP of Sales & Operations at Jetsetter.com. He manages the merchandising, pricing and revenue management teams along with a global team of curators and account executives responsible for developing relationships with suppliers in the travel industry. Shaun was instrumental in launching Jetsetter 24/7 in January 2011, a collection of hand-selected, verified vacations available 365 days per year at Jetsetter exclusive pricing. Most recently Shaun designed and managed the roll out of Jetsetter Homes, the company’s first entry into the vacation rental market.

    Prior to Jetsetter.com, Shaun worked for Expedia & Travelscape from 2002-2010 and led market management and product teams in New York, Sydney and Hong Kong.

    Shaun has a B.S. in Hotel Management from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and is an Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management. He also has a Swiss Diploma in Hospitality Management from the Institut Hotelier Cesar Ritz.
